Try this fun science experiment and watch the colours combine to make new colours as if by magic. Oil and water are said to be immiscible, meaning they don’t mix. This is because water is known as a polar molecule; it has a positive charge one end and a negative charge at the other.

How to Make

Take an empty jar and fill it with baby oil.
Then take two pots and fill them with water adding a colour to each using food colouring.
Then using the pipette drip the coloured water into the jar of oil.
You will notice the beads of colour almost like underwater bubbles sink and join at the bottom.
