Sun, Earth and Moon Orbit Model

How to Make

1. Cut the template out and then cut the pieces out of coloured card.
2. Poke a hole in the centre of the three circles.
3. Next cut out the strips and stick on the space paper then let dry.
4. Poke a hole in the ends of each of these strips following the template guide.
5. Now connect the longest strip to the sun with a split pin so that it still rotates.
6. Connect the Earth to the other end of this strip.
7. Then connect the smaller strip between the earth and the moon.
8. When you rotate these, you will see that the moon circles the earth as the earth circles the sun.

Top Tip

When poking a hole into each centre, place a towel underneath and press a pencil through.
