How to Make

  1. Firstly, paint the porcelain flowerpot with blue and yellow porcelain paint and set aside to dry.
  2. For the stems, fold a pipe cleaner in half and twist together to make the stem sturdier.
  3. Take 4 of the pastel pink pipe cleaners and cut them into thirds.
  4. Take each of the short pipe cleaner pieces and fold them in half.
  5. Then line them up, side by side so that all the end pieces are at the top and all the folds are at the bottom.
  6. Bunch all the folded pastel pink pipe cleaners together, with the green pipe cleaner in the centre. Make sure to line the end of the green pipe cleaner with the ends of the short pink pipe cleaners.
  7. Take another pastel pink pipe cleaner and starting about 1-2cm from the end, tightly wrap it around the bunch.
  8. Take the pipe cleaner pieces and bend each of them upwards.
  9. Then slightly bend each petal towards the middle to create the tulip.
  10. For the leaves, fold a pipe cleaner in half and twist the bottom of the pipe cleaner, slight pull apart the pipe cleaner to create an outline of a leaf shape.
  11. Place clay into the flowerpot and stick the end of the tulips and leaves into the clay.
  12. Lastly, stick various shades and sizes of brown pom poms around the tulips to create the ‘soil’.
