HOW TO MAKE – CAMEL HEADBAND

  1. Print out the template and cut out the pieces.
  2. Draw around the camel’s face template on a piece of yellow card and cut out.
  3. Draw around the camel’s eye templates on black card and cut out.
  4. Draw around the camel’s nose, upper-lips and lower-lip templates on orange self-adhesive felt and cut out.
  5. Draw around the camel’s eyelashes on black self-adhesive felt and cut out.
  6. Peel and stick the camel’s nose to the centre of the face, with the top of the nose touching the top of the face.
  7. Peel and stick the camel’s lower lip to the centre of the face, at the bottom.
  8. Peel and stick the two upper-lip pieces between the nose and lower-lip.
  9. Use Super Tacky Glue to stick on the camel’s eyes, either side of the lips. Make them droop down slightly towards the edges of the face.
  10. Peel and stick the eyelashes on to the eyes, again drooping them slightly towards the edges of the face.
  11. Cut small pieces of yellow wool and stick them to the edges of the ears with Super Tacky Glue.
  12. Stick some more small pieces to the top of the head using Super Tacky Glue and leave to dry.
  13. With a ruler, measure two long strips from the yellow card, 5cms wide. Cut out with scissors.
  14. Apply double-sided tape to the end of a strip and stick the end of the other strip over it, overlapping by a 1 or 2cms to make 1 long strip.
  15. Stick the camel’s face to the centre of the long strip using Super Tacky Glue.
  16. Finally, apply a piece of double-side tape to one end of the strip. When the glue from the camel’s face and headband is thoroughly dry, try on the headband and stick the other end to the double-side tape to fit correctly.
