Mug Flower Card

How to Make

1. Fold a piece of A4 card in half and use the template to draw and cut out the mug shape. Make sure the straight side of the mug is placed at the folded edge of the card, this will allow the card to open. Repeat this step for the inner mug shape.
2. Using a flower template draw a flower in the centre of the inner mug shape and carefully cut it out.
3. Fold the mug and inner mug shape in half and then stick the inner mug shape to the mug using double-sided tape.
4. Use the template to draw and cut out the shapes for the 3D flowers and leaves.
5. For the tulip flower you will need to cut out 3 teardrop shapes. Fold 2 of the teardrop shapes in half. Stick the two folded tear drops onto the un-folded teardrop with one slightly angled to the left and one slightly angled to the right. Trace around the 3D tulip shape created and then cut it out using scissors. Sandwich a green craft stick between the 3D tulip shape and the 2D tulip shape.
6. The heart and circle flowers are created by folding 2 of the 3 shapes in half. Then stick a green craft stick onto the un-folded heart/circle and then stick the two folded hearts/circles on top.
7. Stick both flowers to the inside of the card and then stick the leaves on top to cover the craft sticks inside the card.
8. At the bottom of the leaves stick a Self-Adhesive Satin Ribbon Bow.
9. Finish off by writing ‘Happy Mother’s Day, love from [Your Name]’.

Top Tip

To make this project easier you can create 2D flower shapes instead of 3D flowers using the templates provided.
