How to Make
- Draw out the house onto the lino with pen. If you need to you can use tracing paper to draw your design on with pencil turn it over and go over the lines again and it will transfer the graphite onto the lino, and you can then go over the lines with pen.
- Take your lino cutting tools and cut along the lines you’ve drawn.
- Once these are an even depth you can roll some ink into a tray and roll onto the lino.
- Print this onto card using a clean roller to press the print down.
- Wipe off your lino and let the artwork dry.
Top Tip
Lino is much easier and safer to carve when its warm, it can be warmed up using a hairdryer or leaving on a radiator for a few minutes.
