Egg Carton Rainbow Mask

How to Make

1. Firstly, cut out the shape of the mask from an egg carton. The mask is made from 2 egg cups and 1 egg divider.
2. Cut out 2 holes in the egg carton cut out for the eyes.
3. Paint the egg carton mask white.
4. Then paint the egg carton mask blue and yellow. To make the eyes stand out you can paint around the eyes with white acrylic paint. Then set aside to dry.
5. Using the template draw and cut around the feather shapes.
6. Cut diagonal slits on both sides to create a feather appearance. Make sure to leave 1cm in the centre of the feather uncut. Repeat this for each feather.
7. Fold the bottom of the feathers and stick them to the top and sides of the egg carton.
8. Stick 2 red craft sticks together then stick it to the back of the mask.
9. Lastly, stick self-adhesive gems around the mask, on the craft sticks and on the feathers.

Top Tip

Make sure to leave the centre of the feathers un-cut so they hold their shape.
