How to Make

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Using an electric whisk or wooden spoon mix together the butter and icing sugar. Then mix in the milk, vanilla extract and flour.
  2. Sprinkle a clean surface with flour and then roll out the dough. Then take your leaf cutter and cut out leaf shapes.
  3. Place the leaf shaped dough on to a buttered baking tray and bake for 6-8 minutes.

For icing:

  1. Mix together the icing sugar and water, then separate the mixture and add a food colouring to each bowl of icing.
  2. Once the biscuits have cooled choose 3 colours to use on each biscuit. Spread each colour onto the biscuit starting from the edge then moving inwards.
  3. Once all the 3 colours are on the biscuit, use a cocktail stick to mix the colours and create lines to make them look more ‘leaf-like’.
  4. Put them to the side and allow to set for at least 30 minutes.
