How to Make
- Decide which word you want to write out first. Open the pad and arrange it horizontally so the spiral binding is at the top. Open onto a new page and sketch out the word you would like in pencil.
- Make sure the letters fill up the page, as shown. Then add dots at key structure points of each letter, as shown. Leave the pen to dry then rub out the pencil using an eraser.
- Repeat for as many pages as desired but do leave some blank towards the back of the notebook for when children advance and can write the letters without any help or guidance.
Top Tip
Only write one word to a page and do not write anything on the reverse or it may bleed through and distract from the dots
