Neon Spinner

How to Make

1. Take a piece of cardboard and use your round template (we’ve used tape) to draw a circle. Draw the same circle using the same template onto two sheets of pink neon paper. Then cut these out so that you have three circles.
2. Use tape or glue to stick the pink circles either side of the cardboard circle. Then use scissors to carefully cut two holes in the centre of the circle.
3. Use a yellow neon deco pen to draw a spiral on the pink circle.
4. Use other deco pens, as well as gem strips, to decorate the rest of the spinner.
5. Take some green elastic and cut about 40cm. Then thread each end through the holes in the circle and tie them in a knot on the other side.
6. To make your neon spinner spin, hold each end of the elastic so that the spinner is in the middle. Then flip it over itself over and over again so that it winds up the elastic. Then pull the elastic outwards and watch it spin!

Top Tip

Try not to pull the elastic too hard when spinning the spinner, as the stretch may make it bounce.
