Time to Make

How to Make

  1. Divide a sheet of A4 gold card (or white card that can be coloured in later) into six equal sections using a pencil and ruler and cut out with a blade and metal ruler or a paper trimmer.
  2. Take one piece of card, find the centre horizontally, score and fold to form the place setting. If you’ve used white card, colour it gold and leave to dry.
  3. Cut a blue doily to fit the width of the card, allowing some space between the curves of the doily pattern and the bottom edge of the card, as shown. When you’re happy with the positioning, adhere in place.
  4. Colour self-adhesive pearls gold and add to the bottom edge of the doily, using the picture as a guide. Trim a strip of white card to fit the width of the place setting, write the guest’s name on it in gold marker pen and affix.

Top Tip

You could leave the pearls white for a more subtle effect, or alternate them within the design for a different look.
