How to Make

  1. Measure satin blue ribbon to your desired length for your string of bunting. Lay gold doilies across the length, leaving space in between each one, to give you an idea of spacing.
  2. Fold each doily with the gold inside – not quite in half, as you want to leave an edge of gold visible along the bottom of your bunting ‘flag’ – use the picture as a guide. Sandwich the ribbon inside the folded doily at the point where you want it to hang from.
  3. Open up one side of the folded doily and apply Glue Dots to the length of ribbon that will be sandwiched inside and along the bottom inside edge (where the two sides of the doily meet when it’s folded shut) of the doily. Fold shut, pressing along the edge to secure.
  4. Repeat for the rest of the doilies until your string of bunting is complete.

Top Tip

Try ironing your ribbon on a low heat before securing the doilies in place to avoid unsightly creases or twisting.
